Free Senior Policy Analyst (Remote)

YSMART is seeking a Policy Analyst to join our Research and Insights team.
YSMART is a new emerging political consulting in Singapore. Our mission is to help organizations navigate a complex world and get their message across.
We are seeking for experienced and innovative researchers and consultants interested in learning about the most pressing current public/region policy issues and the people and organizations shaping policy decisions.

About The Role
Senior policy analysts are members of the Research and Insights team. Part time senior policy analysts are results-oriented and normally involve analyzing problems, writing reports on the matters within their area of expertise on which their advice or assistance is sought. Analyst shall be able to obtain the most authentic information from various sources and analyze regional security policy from different perspectives simultaneously, using whose special skills or knowledge not normally possessed by the regular staff of the company, to deliver actionable understanding and insight for our clients.

Essential Duties
1.Deadline driven and able to produce high-quality work within short timelines.
2.Identify and analyze key trends, policies, and strategies on specific region.
3.Researching and writing internal report covering the concerned topics.
4.Conduct original research on political and social issues. Synthesize research from a number of sources, and to determine the credibility, value, significance and relevancy of information from different sources to produce clear, concise and timely products.
5.Perform quality control including data accuracy, proofreading.

Qualification of the Ideal Candidates:
1.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., public policy, political science, business or public administration, sociology or a closely related field) or equivalent practical experience: at least two (2) years of experience in policy analysis and policy writing either in the private sector or Government.
2.Deep understanding of politics and international affair, especially having knowledge of and familiarity with the current conflict and geopolitical landscape to Mid-east.
3.Ability to produce quality finished products for short deadlines as well as continuing to maintain analysis for, and report on, long-term strategic assessments.
4.Proven ability to tailor communication to a wide range of stakeholders from leading academics to policy-maker.
5.Veteran or serviceman is a plus.

Compensation:
Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
