About the Company
Boercon Pty Ltd is a company that provides contractors and services for construction projects. The company works in conjunction with major construction companies on large projects.
We are currently looking for a full-time Painter to join our team.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling cracks or holes to ensure a smooth and even painting surface.
• Select and mix paint colors to achieve desired shades and tones according to client specifications or design requirements.
• Apply paint, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other appropriate tools.
• Execute various painting techniques such as faux finishing, stenciling, and texturing to create unique and visually appealing surfaces.
• Ensure proper masking and covering of areas not intended for painting to prevent overspray or accidental paint application.
• Work in compliance with safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other team members to discuss project details, timelines, and expectations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning and maintaining painting equipment.
• Perform quality inspections on completed work to ensure it meets established standards and specifications.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, new materials, and techniques to continuously improve skills and stay up-to-date with best practices.
Work Experience and Skills:
• Minimum 2 years, preferably 3 years of experience.
• Knowledge of different types of paints, coatings, and surface preparation techniques.
• Proficiency in using painting tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other relevant equipment.
• Ability to mix and match paint colors accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality finishes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with clients and team members.
Salary package: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum
