Free Mechanical Engineer - TAHEF - 2486

GVI, Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a government industry leader, is looking for an Entry Level TAHEF Mechanical Engineer to join our Team!

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be a Mechanical Engineer for the TAHEF depot.

As such they will:

Conduct engineering investigations to resolve issues using industry best practices.
Provide a report of investigation findings including investigation and test methodologies used, tests accomplished, ideas considered, and recommendations made.
Conduct/assist with investigations related to material and equipment obsolescence issues and determine suitable replacements.
Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
Interface with government customers and outside vendors to ensure that requirements are met.
Recommend corrective actions, dispositions, process optimization and modifications.


Requirements:

United States Citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance; candidates currently possessing an Active Secret Clearance are preferred.
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline,
OR equivalent experience/combined education with
At least two (2) years of relevant experience.
Able to generate reports and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Skills:

Thorough knowledge of current surface and submarine towed array handler systems and their testing and repair procedures.
Experience with the layout and operation of TAHEF capital equipment used for repair and testing.
Familiar with the use of JobBOSS and MasterControl Document Control Software.
Knowledge of Navy terminology and acronyms along with engineering terminology.


Position is in Arlington, VA.
