Free Care Assistant
- Location: Essex, United Kingdom
We are looking for a healthcare assistant for one of our locations in Essex. The shifts are 12 hour waking nights with some day shifts available also. We are looking for someone with previous complex care experience and a knowledge of AD.
The main duties and responsibilities include:
- Remaining awake and alert for the entirety of the shift.
- Completing regular checks for health and welfare.
- Supporting the customer with their personal care needs.
- Supporting the customer to meet their outcomes.
- Administering medication.
- Use of moving and assisting equipment such as ceiling track hoists, electric wheelchairs, through the floor lifts, etc.
- Encouraging independence where possible.
Knowledge of spinal injury, autonomic dysreflexia, diabetes, stoma care and catheter care is desirable but if not, we can provide full training.

Salary: £15.70 Mon-Fri days, £16.80 Nights and Weekends. (includes holiday pay accrual)
(Holiday pay is accrued and held separately, not paid out weekly)
Working pattern: 12 hour shifts, days and nights (likely to be 8am-8pm & 8pm-8am)
Requirements: To be eligible, you must hold full right to work in the UK.
